APHYS2003 Workshop

October 13th, 2003

Due to the high number of pre-registration and expressions of interest on this topic, the Conference organization has decided to organize an International Interdisciplinay Workshop on Radiation Protection and Dosimetry replacing the Workshop on Occupational Radiation Protection which was firstly announced.  Occupational Radiation Protection will then be one of the topics of the Workshop. Some other topics will be then included in the Workshop, and specially those relating Radiation Protection with the other conference topics such as Materials Science, Imaging Techniques, Computational Methods, etc.

· Solid State Physics and Materials Science in Radiation Dosimetyr/Dating
· Solid State Dosimetry
· Research and Development on Histocompatible Materials Effective for in-vivo Radiation Dosimetry
· Radiation effects in materials
· Room-temperature semiconductor gamma-ray detectors and gamma-ray imaging devices
· Nanocrystalline materials
· Materials for Radiation Dosimetry (Potassium feldspar, Quartz, Al2O3 fiber optic probes for use in radiotherapy dosimetry, NEw Gels and Porous Media for Radiation Dosimetry, etc.)
· Storage Phosphors for Ionizing Radiation Dosimetry
· Instrument and Sensor Development
