This topic covers the broad field of laser physics, linear and nonlinear optics, ultrafast phenomena, photonic devices, optical and laser materials, quantum optics, laser spectroscopy of atoms, molecules and clusters, and use of laser radiation in biophotonics, chemistry and biochemistry. Other themes such as atmospheric optics, integrated optics, fiber optics, Optics in Biology and medicine, nanostructured & microstructured material optics, optical design, Optical Processing, Optical Storage & Holography will be also considered.

Accepted papers will be published in a special issue of Physica Sripta, although publication in other of the specialized Journals can be considered if the topic is appropiate.
