Formatex staff contribute to the development of a promising biomaterial for surgical implants (ultrafine-grained Zr) with improved mechanical properties and excellent in vitro biocompatibility. The study "In vitro biocompatibility of an ultrafine grained zirconium" has been published by the prestigious journal Biomaterials (impact factor 2006: 5.2).

Formatex staff publish research work on the surface nanostructure of materials in the leading journal Ultramicroscopy (#1 in the ISI-JCR Microscopy category).

USE-ME.GOV project (USability-drivEn open platform for MobilE GOVernment) has come to the end. It is now expected to become available to public authorities.
