SCELL-2004 Special Issues

Full papers of oral and poster accepted presentations will make up special issues of two International Journals:
Solar Energy Materials and Solar Cells published by Elsevier and availbale through ScienceDirect
Journal of Materials Science published by Kluwer and availble through Kluwer Online

The manuscripts should be delivered in triplicate at the Conference Secretariat desk during the Conference. Virtual participants are asked to submit their full papers also in triplicate to the Conference Secretariat no later than May 1st (only by post, full papers will not be accepted by email).

Authors are free to choose the publication they want their papers to be considered for. The following cover-page should be enclosed when delivering your three copies of the manuscript.

JOURNALS DESCRIPTION

Find, below the pictures, author's guide in downloadable files. Use them to make up your papers.

Solar Energy Materials & Solar Cells is intended as a vehicle for the dissemination of research results on materials science and technology related to photovoltaic, photothermal and photoelectrochemical solar energy conversion. Materials science is taken in the broadest possible sense and encompasses physics, chemistry, optics, materials fabrication and analysis for all types of materials.
Of particular interest are:
Solar Cells, covering single crystal, polycrystalline and amorphous materials utilising homojunctions and heterojunctions, Schottky barriers, liquid junctions and their applications. Also of interest is analysis of component materials, individual cells and complete systems, including their economic aspects.
Photothermal Devices, in the broadest sense, including solar absorber devices, heat storage materials, radiative cooling systems and their applications.
Photoelectrochemical and Photochemical Devices, covering photoelectrodes, photocatalysis, photoconversion and solar desalination systems and their applications.
Optical Properties of materials, including light trapping, texturising, solar concentrators which include imaging and non-imaging optical collectors.
Light Control, including systems for energy efficient architecture and daylighting, chromogenics and smart windows.
The pertinent issues are comprehensive and encompass bulk materials, coatings and thin films and surface treatments, from basic as well as from applications-oriented and manufacturing related perspectives.

The Journal of Materials Science and its companion journal Journal of Materials Science Letters are now firmly established as the leading sources of primary communication for scientists investigating the structure and properties of all engineering materials.
The Journal of Materials Science publishes reviews and full-length papers recording original research results on, or techniques for studying the relationship between structure, properties and uses of materials.
Journal of Materials Science Letters is concerned with timely short communications on materials science (less that 1500 words). The subject in both journals is seen from international and interdisciplinary perspectives covering areas including metals, ceramics, glasses, polymers, electrical materials, composite materials, fibres, biological and biomedical materials.

Journal of Materials Science is indexed/abstracted in ADONIS; AeroplusAccess; Applied Science & Technology Abstracts; CAB Abstracts;Chemical Abstracts; Current Contents/Engineering, Technology andApplied Sciences; Current Contents/Physical, Chemical and EarthSciences; DKILit; Engineering Society Library; INSPEC InformationServices; The ISI Alerting Services; Materials Science Citation Index;Polymer Abstracts; Polymer Contents; olymer Blends, Alloys &Interpenetrating Polymer Networks Abstracts; Polymer Library; ScienceCitation Index; Science Citation Index Expanded; Urethane Abstracts

As an estimation, Journals usually reject 20-30% of the submitted conference papers due to lack of technical quality. Our goal is to produce high quality and high impact special issues.

IMPORTANT NOTE FOR PAPERS SUBMITTED FOR PUBLICATION

Contributions are accepted on the understanding that the authors have obtained the necessary authority for publication. Submission of an article must be accompanied by a statement that the article is original and unpublished and is not being considered for publication elsewhere. Upon acceptance of an article by the Journal, the author(s) will be asked to transfer the copyright of the article to the Publisher. This transfer will ensure the widest possible dissemination of information. More specific information on each Journal requirements will be provided soon.

Potencial reviewers for all the Conference topics are highly encouraged to write us with the field of expertise and a list of publications. The official list of reviewers will be included in the book edition.
